Dalibor is a semi-canon Dragonriders of Pern site. No knowledge of the series or site is required to join; players of all experience levels are welcome here. Founded in 2008 on Proboards and moved to Jcink in 2013, Dalibor has been running for nine years.
Winter, 18th Turn, 11th Pass
While not unnatural in its violence, the dual hatching of Copper Queens Laanasuth, and Zelsk, has brought many changes Pernwide to the Dragon Candidate program. Raising the Age of Candidacy, and laying more rigorous emotional requirements on those admitted into the program and permitted to stay after. Dalibor has settled into an easy peace with the hatching fading into memory and young dragonets and wherets visible as they come into their own.
Included in their ranks are two colours new to Pern. Indigo dragons, and Pink whers, as well as Dalibor's first instance of a dual-bonded Wherhandler. As always, the West seems eager to produce weirdness for the rest of Pern.
Curiously, a steady flow of messengers seem to be traveling between Grove and Dalibor Weyr during the early sevendays of the new season; which is already proving to be milder than some in Dalibor's recent history.

It was at this point that Kidanyr noticed she might be stepping on toes. Surely if he was searching for someone, and he wished for help, he had better people to ask than her. After all, who was she but just a classmate? Someone who earned a hello and the occasional exchange of pleasantries. Maybe she hadn’t even earned that. It was hard to tell with A’dran. Hands slowed a bit as she thought it over. Was she being annoying? Was she asking too many questions.Strewth Kida, you need ta stop worryin’. If you’re botherin him, he should be able to tell you.
He was right. But it didn’t stop her from worrying some. Many people, Kida had found, did not speak their minds. The silence between the two weyrling pairs was stretching thin, and Kida tried to think of what to say to get them back on track. Kookath nudged her with his muzzle, knocking her back into the moment. She flashed him a fleeting smile and returned to oiling the glossy hide of her bonded.
“I don’t mean to pry. I really don’t. I just thought I might offer help. If you don’t want any, though, I understand.” In truth, she didn’t understand. Not one bit. Who would turn down help? But she knew it was the right thing to say. Even if Kida didn’t believe a lick of it herself.@Catsitta

| 'Share with her, Mine.'
A'dran cursed the brown's stubbornness. He made his mind up and was not budging on the issue. Wobath, he noticed, was not inclined to squabbles, but Faranth, could he be single minded to the point of distraction. He would argue if he felt it was the only way to be heard. 'You feel strongly about this.'
The brown nudged His with the end of his snout, 'Of course. You wish to find your sibling. More eyes is more efficient. She won't share your secret.'Oh, how do you know that?'
Because A'dran did not believe Kida could keep her mouth for a moment.'Because she is Kookath's.''Not helping your case.'
The yellow was the epitome of transparency. He helped narrate his own hatching! He would blab to everyone...'He will not tell if I ask him.'
A'dran snorted. 'You are delusional.' 'And you are needlessly distrusting.'
The weyrling's shoulders slumped, 'You will tell him anyway, won't you?''It is for the best.'
A'dran's hands fell away from the brown's hide, "I am looking for my sister. We were separated around five Turns ago." He didn't look at Kida, instead closing his eyes and visualizing his sister best he could after all this time. His memory was fuzzy. But he could still see her large, dark eyes and flaxen curls. She was a beautiful child who would no doubt become a stunning woman. Well, if she was still alive...Wobath shared the image with Kookath. What the yellow did with that image was up to him. Still high strung about the situation, he grumpily added, "Happy now?"
